I Thought I Knew You

A university campus empties of students for Thanksgiving weekend, but two dorm apartments remain full. In one, six friends gather to celebrate the holiday and their senior year. In the other, their seventh friend, Ali, reels from a recent heartbreak. Rather than mope, however, she concocts a plan—pretend to be busy with family so her friends don’t disturb her, and secretly invite a man from a dating app to her place. After all, the best way to get over someone is to get back out there, so what could be the harm? But Ali’s plans quickly go awry when her “date” ties her to a chair and traps her in her apartment. Bound and watched over by a perverted madman, Ali must somehow plot her own escape, all while her friends remain oblivious to what is happening to her. Unbeknownst to Ali, another web of lies is woven throughout the seemingly peaceful Thanksgiving dinner, and her friends’ fates are intertwined with her own. Rife with love, deception, and suspense, I Thought I Knew You is a twist-filled thrill ride that asks the terrifying questions that haunt the backs of our minds: What happens when you can’t trust the people around you? What is left when you’ve lost everything?
