Stephanie Benay has lived the realities she writes about. Over the course of her 30+ career, she has coached and mentored leaders at every level—from frontline workers, supervisors, to CEOs and Boards—helping them navigate the systems she now exposes with clarity and candour. A longtime blogger and former podcaster, she shares her insights widely, including on platforms such as LinkedIn. She served on the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) and was a founding member of the Women in Occupational Health and Safety Society (WOHSS). Returning to graduate school reignited her writing life; her MBA became the catalyst for examining the patterns she had witnessed for decades and for giving language to experiences many women struggle to name. She’s an avid pickleball player, a devoted reader of biographies, and a plant-and-gardening enthusiast. She lives in Calgary with her husband and three dogs, who ensure there is never a dull moment.
