Lessons From the Camino
by Bonnie Giesbrecht

Experiencing the Camino may begin with a single step, but the lessons it offers can last a lifetime. When Bonnie set out to walk the final 115 kilometres of the Camino de Santiago, she expected sore feet, beautiful scenery, and perhaps a meaningful adventure. What she discovered along her journey was something much deeper: a series of gentle, practical, and often surprising lessons from God. Part memoir, part devotional reflection, Lessons from the Camino invites readers to walk alongside Bonnie as she learns to release control, choose gratitude in difficult circumstances, silence judgment, and follow trustworthy guideposts. Ultimately, she discovers that the Camino itself is not the answer to life’s questions—but it can create space to hear the One who is. With warmth, honesty, humour, and deep faith, Bonnie shares stories from the trail and from her own life. Each chapter offers Scripture, personal stories, reflection, and prayer for readers navigating their own winding paths through life. Whether you have walked the Camino, dream of walking it someday, or simply need encouragement for the road you are on right now, this book is a reminder that every step can become sacred when walked with God. Buen Camino.
