Just One More Step Walk to Banff 2016
A journey of determination and awareness.
by Cheryl Young

"My body jerks with an electric shock, pins and needles surge through my hands and feet. I am exhausted. Pressure in my head intensifies with thoughts racing in all directions. Time is frozen. As everything spins around me, I lay in silence, trapped inside my body. All I want is relief. I lay still, and I wait." Leah O This is fibromyalgia. In 2016, the people of Fibromyalgia Well Spring Foundation walked from Langley, B.C. to Banff, Alberta to raise awareness about the realities of their invisible illness. Just One More Step 2016 shares the details of that journey, a period marked by friendship and hardship. From the harrowing accident that left the Author gravely injured to the generosity of strangers along the way, their story illustrates the power of teamwork to spark hope in the dark. With contributions from multiple walkers, as well as details from the return trip to thank the people and businesses who supported them, this unforgettable chronicle will inspire readers to accomplish something—even if it's just one more step.
